Zoom Workshop - An Introduction to Portraits 7-8 June 16:00-19:00 BST
You will make a small portrait of a person of your choice. On the first day working from your own photographs or drawings you will make a very simple organza collage. One the second day the main emphasis and careful instruction will be given to hand stitching the features, with an emphasis on less is more, colour selection and direction and density of stitches.
On this workshop direction will be given on choosing the right image and thinking about composition. Stitching an eye – different eyes different approaches. Stitching closed mouths and how to tackle noses.
A fabric pack is included. You will need to provide your own threads a basic sewing kit and an image or two to work from.
This workshop will be delivered via Zoom, the link will be sent to you one week before the workshop starts.
Thank you so much for the zoom workshop it was amazing. HL
I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your class! JM
What a lovely weekend I have had. Strangely I am often tired and dissatisfied with my own work after a workshop. Not this one ! You were calm, inspiring, informative and so much more!!! Thank you so much! Many many thanks. Lindsay
